Watch Two Best Friends React to Twin Pregnancy Reveal: ‘The Scream’
Any pregnancy announcement is bound to be exciting, but these women got twice as excited when their best friend revealed that she’s expecting not one, but two babies in the coming months.
Sierra Singleton, 26, didn’t think she could be any happier after finding out that she was pregnant back in February, but how wrong she was. Just a few weeks later, she and her husband Sam discovered that they’re expecting twin girls in September, and they couldn’t wait to reveal the joyful news.
It was incredibly hard to keep it secret, as Singleton told Newsweek that she was desperate to tell her best friends, Kaitlyn and Emily. Having been friends for 20 years, the trio are like sisters and Singleton knew they were “so excited to be aunties.”
Residing in south Florida, Singleton lives several hours away from her friends and family, so she kept it quiet until she returned home for her engagement party in May. Before heading to the party, Singleton captured the moment she told her friends that she’s pregnant with twins, and their reactions did not disappoint.
“I was excited and anxious to tell them because this is big news—it’s double big news,” Singleton said. “As someone who never had a sister, I am excited to witness the beautiful bond that will form between them. Sam and I both love them already so much.”
For the pregnancy reveal, Singleton handed Emily a box with a onesie inside which said “coming soon” on the front. They were both momentarily stunned before the mom-to-be handed Kaitlyn a second box with another onesie that had “me too!” on it, and the ultrasound picture to show it’s twins.
The friends were thrilled for Singleton, as Emily burst into tears and Kaitlyn unleashed a deafening scream. Since sharing the reveal on TikTok (@sie.shay), the video has already gained over 17.6 million views and more than 3 million likes in just a few days.
“Their reactions were exactly as I expected, and I loved every second. Emily immediately crying like the sweet soul she is and Kaitlyn trying to connect the dots while thinking completely out loud. They are the best,” she continued.
“I was just relieved when they finally knew as it’s so hard keeping a secret like that. I’m excited for my friends to become aunties because their love and support mean everything to me. I can’t wait for them to share in the joy of watching my daughters grow.”
Now that Kaitlyn and Emily have had time to process the big announcement, they can’t wait to meet their newest nieces and watch their best friend start this new chapter in her life.
Since Singleton shared the video on TikTok, she’s been overwhelmed by the positive response it’s gained, as so many reached out to congratulate her.
She told Newsweek: “I posted the video, just expecting some love and laughter, but the sheer scale of the reaction took me by surprise. What’s even more incredible is the outpouring of love and support from people all around the world. I am so happy to be building a community of followers to share this new journey with.”
With over 8,600 comments on TikTok, many social media users praised the friends for being so genuinely happy for Singleton, and others lauded their uncontrollable reactions. One comment reads: “The scream was so valid.”
Another TikTok user responded: “She screamed like she found out SHE was having twins!”
While another person commented: “If friends don’t react to your news like this, throw them away.”
