Cat Owner Tries to Enjoy Pizza, but Orange Boy Has Other Plans
Cat owners hoping to enjoy a quiet takeout pizza night recently shared the hilarious antics of their furry food thieves.
Instagram user @thegatobros uploaded a video featuring two orange cats, Aries and Azure, hilariously attempting to snatch bites of pizza from their owners’ laps. The video has since gone viral, amassing over 94,200 likes and an impressive 1.9 million views.
“When you’re trying to have dinner but you have cats,” reads the on-screen text, perfectly capturing the struggle.
In the video, the two owners sit with pizza boxes on their laps, only to find themselves in a battle against two determined felines eager to get their foodie fix.
The first cat makes a move, confidently slipping his paw into the box to snag a slice, but the owners gently push him back.
Then the second cat swoops in with a bold paw, aiming for the slice the owner is just about to take a bite from.
How to Keep Cats From Stealing Food
If Aries’ and Azure’s antics look all too familiar, here are some expert tips to keep your own cat’s paws off your dinner.
“Interactive feeding toys” are an effective way to keep cats occupied while you eat, as they help channel their energy and curiosity away from your food, according to advice from the website Pets Corner.
Cats tend to beg less if they’re kept mentally stimulated during mealtimes.
Why Are Orange Cats Such Characters?
Anyone familiar with orange cats won’t be surprised by Aries’ and Azure’s behavior. Research suggests that orange cats often have a reputation for bold, curious personalities. They’re known for their playful and people-oriented nature.
The Instagram post has prompted many users to share their own cat chaos experiences in the comments.
“They’re so cute when trying to steal our food,” one user wrote.
Natalie, another commenter, added, “They act like we don’t feed them!”
Meanwhile, Lambert captured the playful frustration of every orange cat owner: “He’s a little orange menace!”
Others shared similar mishaps, like Rafaela, who wrote: “My kitten had the zoomies, ran over my plate, stepping on my pizza and sending it flying.”
Newsweek reached out to @thegatobros for comment via Instagram and could not verify the details of the case.
