MrBeast Speaks Out After Kevin Hart Post Raises Eyebrows—’Nope’
Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has spoken out after battling Photoshop claims over his viral photo with Kevin Hart.
The YouTuber shared two photos with the 5 foot 4 comedian and actor—who regularly jokes about his height—to Instagram on Wednesday.
“Hanging out with Kai Cenat,” Donaldson wrote alongside the photos, jokingly comparing Hart to his fellow YouTuber, who is also known for his short stature.
The height difference between Hart and Donaldson, who reportedly stands at 6 foot 2, had the influencer’s 59 million Instagram followers in hysterics,
“That actually made me laugh out loud,” commented Harrison Webb.
“Are you really that tall or is Kevin really that short,” asked Markell Washington.
“Bruh he so short and cute,” said @ff_namish.
“I love how he’s looking up at you,” wrote @valkyrae.
“I didn’t realize how tall you’re till I saw this pic,” said @miami_guardian.
One user dubbed the comedian “Kevin Half,” while another asked: “Did @mrbeast just drop fire on Kevin?”
Hart didn’t seem to mind Donaldson poking fun at him. The 45-year-old also commented on the post with 10 laughing emoji.
Apparently, some users accused Donaldson of photoshopping the image, leading the 26-year-old to dispute the rumor on X, formerly Twitter.
“All my comments on insta are saying I photoshopped this. Nope, Kevin Hart is just short,” he told his 30 million X followers on Thursday.
At the time of publishing, Donaldson’s response has received over 3.7 million views.
Newsweek has reached out to a representative for Kevin Hart for comment via email.
Hart has made many jokes about his height over the years, particularly during his stand-up shows.
During an appearance on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper in April, Hart described himself as “[I’m] 5-foot-5, like with a shoe on, like a sneaker. Now, if I put a boot on, I can get to 5’5 and a half.”
In an interview with Oprah in 2014, the comedy star said he’s “beyond confident” with his appearance.
“I don’t believe in doing things to manufacture my body to appeal to what I think people might like,” he told the talk show host.
“This is it. This is what I was given. This is my playing cards. If we were playing poker, I’ve got to make this hand work.
“This is it for me. And this is what I’m going to ride out. So how do you not embrace it? You get one life. One. You get one life. I’m going to embrace mine.”
