Owner Looking for Dog Finds Him in the Most Unexpected Place: ‘Yes…And?’
A small dog’s hiding spot to escape the prying eyes of his owner was finally revealed, leaving viewers on TikTok in stitches.
Bonzo, a Chihuahua, decided it was time to get away for a quick nap. The tiny dog needed a quiet place where no one would disturb him. However, hiding wasn’t the smartest option. Unable to find him, his owner started to get worried.
In a May 29 TikTok video shared by user @lifewithbonzo, the owner explained they had no clue where Bonzo had gone. They looked around the house with no luck. That is until they spotted something off about a duffle bag on the floor.
The video’s text overlay reads: “I didn’t know where my dog had gone so [I] went to look for him and this is what I found…”
Bonzo managed to slip into a tiny opening of the bag. Curling himself into position with a sweater on, he laid down. His face was in the perfect spot so he could still get fresh air from the bag’s opening.
The video’s caption reads: “He really said yes…and? At the end.”
Bonzo gave his owner a look of annoyance. He was enjoying his time until they barged into his room. Then, the pup closed his eyes once again, hoping to be left alone.
Newsweek has reached out to @lifewithbonzo via TikTok for additional information.
TikTok Users React
Bonzo’s unusual napping spot had TikTok users cracking up. The clip has reached over 11,000 views as of Saturday afternoon.
“The side eye,” one TikTok user pointed out.
Another added: “He wants to come back to Nana’s house. He’s packed himself ready.”
Why Is My Dog Hiding?
Dogs might hide from time-to-time whether they’re playing or they want their alone time. That shouldn’t indicate any red flags. However, if you start to notice their hiding becomes a regular occurrence, it might mean there is a bigger issue at hand.
A vet-verified article from Dogster from last month shared the eight reasons why your dog might be hiding, which included: loud noises, change, stress or anxiety, fear of certain spaces, fear of people, hiding objects from you, comfort or illness.
Some of these reasons can be worked through with positive reinforcement and making your pup feel comfortable in their new environment. Others, like loud noises or stress and anxiety, can be addressed with certain medications.
