Richard Childress Racing Strikes Major NASCAR Partnership
Richard Childress Racing has announced a long-term partnership with Mack Trucks, naming Mack as the “Official Long-Haul Truck of Richard Childress Racing.” The collaboration promises to deliver substantial operational benefits.
“The Mack Anthem has repeatedly proven its dependability and quality for the last eight years serving as the Official Hauler of NASCAR,” said David Galbraith, vice president of marketing and global brand for Mack Trucks. This partnership will ensure that RCR’s technology and equipment are reliably transported to racing events.
The Mack Anthem 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper models provided under this agreement are powered by a 13-liter Mack MP 8 engine delivering 505 horsepower and 1,860 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s a lot of torque.
Beyond operational efficiency, the partnership aims to foster engagement with NASCAR fans. The brand will offer experiences at events, including opportunities for customers to meet RCR drivers, tour the trucks, and be involved in victory lane celebrations.
“We’re extremely proud to announce our partnership, providing us the opportunity to share the capabilities of Mack products and the excitement of the NASCAR season with customers and fans,” said Galbraith.
RCR, established in 1969, has achieved an impressive record with 16 championships and over 200 victories. Currently, the team boasts an accomplished roster of drivers including Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon, Jesse Love, and Austin Hill. Reflecting on the new partnership, Richard Childress Racing president Torrey Galida is very happy to be working with the logistics company.
“Richard Childress Racing is looking forward to the future with Mack Trucks, which will help ensure our success during the racing season by providing us with an integral transportation solution.”
Now, these Mack Anthem trucks are pretty impressive. They’re fitted with Mack Command Steer, an active steering system that reduces driver effort by up to 85%, and Mack GuardDog Connect, which offers proactive diagnostic and repair planning, these trucks promise to minimize downtime and maximize productivity for RCR’s logistical operations. This means there’s more time to plan to win.
“Our partnership was made possible by our full confidence in Mack Trucks, whose values of excellence and innovation matches ours,” added Galida.
The Playoffs continue this weekend at the Go Bowling at the Glen on Sunday.
