Taylor Swift Fan Selling Friendship Bracelet From Her Mom Sparks Fury

Taylor Swift fans got into a big debate after one of their peers sold a treasured piece of memorabilia.

It all kicked off when one fan noticed someone was selling a personalized “friendship bracelet” given to them by Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, at one of the singer’s record-breaking Eras Tour concerts.

Exchanging friendship bracelets is a long-running tradition amongst Swifties—the name of Swift’s fan base. They are bespoke bracelets with a person’s name or other information and are usually swapped between people at her live concerts as a sign of creating community and kinship.

But when someone noticed another Swiftie selling the bracelet given to her by Andrea Swift, they took to X, formerly Twitter, to complain.

“someone is selling a bracelet that andrea gave them for $300. I’m so disgusted,” wrote @rockwellswift alongside two photos of the bracelet in question and a description of the item.

Not everyone agreed that it was a disgusting move, and argued the person may have really needed the money.

“maybe this will be the reason a family gets food on their table, you never know what other people are struggling with. so no judgment,” replied @enchantedexilee.

“That’s so sad to me,” wrote @dinggorgeous.

And @ali_fearless13 added, “Who would want to be buy that? Like honestly it means nothing if it wasn’t GIVEN to you.”

While one person pointed out the Swift family’s business acumen and theorized that as a result, hawking the memorabilia would not bother them.

“The whole family runs on capitalism lol I guarantee andrea wouldn’t care in the slightest,” wrote @kaitybella.

Swift is currently completing the European leg of her world tour and will play three shows this weekend at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.

Her parents are regular fixtures at her shows and Swift’s dad, Scott, was even on hand when she shouted out her new boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end first went public pop superstar in September and flew to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to see her in concert in November.

Kelce was standing next to Scott Swift as Swift tweaked the lines to one of her hit songs, “Karma.”

“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” Swift sang. The original lyrics were: “Karma is the guy on the screen, coming straight home to me.”

The football player revealed he was very happy with the changes to the song during a November episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles star, Jason Kelce.

“I had no clue. Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me,” he said when discussing the “Karma” lyric change.

“It was like, ‘Oh, she really just said that,'” he said.
