“The View” hosts attacked former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for saying she will vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
“Biden has been a catastrophe,” Haley said during the announcement at an event hosted conservative think tank Hudson Institute. “So, I will be voting for Trump.”
Host Alyssa Farah Griffin said she was “disappointed,” but “not surprised.”
“If someone attacked my intelligence, my family, my marriage and American democracy, I probably wouldn’t then go back and support them,” Griffin said on Thursday’s episode of the ABC talk show.
She added that Haley supporters, who saw her as a viable alternative to Trump, felt “betrayed” by the announcement.
“She gave us hope of a party that could start inching in the right direction,” Griffin said. “I am not convinced these 150,000 people who turned out in suburban Pennsylvania to cast a protest vote for her are going to go to Trump because she’s supporting him. I think they were always more never Trump than she is.”

Host Sara Haines agreed the decision was a bad political move.
“I think it was such a bad miscalculation for her,” Haines said.
Haines said Haley continues to gain votes in primaries, despite no longer being in the race.
“It was an off ramp,” Haines said. “It wasn’t a perfect candidate, but it was not Donald Trump.”
Host Sunny Hostin said Haley has always been “a flip-flopper.”
“She was never an earnest politician,” Hostin said.
Goldberg added that she has “never been a fan” of Haley.
“People who don’t have character, you can’t trust them,” Goldberg said.
Haley served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under Trump before deciding to run against him in the presidential primary race.
While campaigning against him, Haley said Trump was not “someone that our kids can look up to” and would not follow the Constitution. She called his statements about Black voters “disgusting.”
Trump also attacked Haley during the primary race, calling her “birdbrain” and making allegations about her husband who is deployed overseas.
