Today’s ‘Wordle’ #926 Hints and Answer for Monday, January 1 Game
Wow, seems like we have not played Wordle since last year.
Dad jokes aside, a new year does not mean we will give up our favorite daily word puzzle.
Maybe you’re new to the world of Wordle and have made it your New Year’s resolution to try playing the online game that first took the world by storm in 2021.
It’s a very simple concept. Every day, a new five-letter word appears on the app or the online browser—depending on where you choose to play.
You have to guess the word in six attempts or less by typing in a word and then using your deductive skills with each attempt to figure it out.
Players are helped along the way with a color-coded system. A green tile means a correct letter in the right spot while a yellow tile means the letter appears in the word but is in the wrong position. A gray tile tells you that the letter is not in the word at all.
Sometimes it can be a little tricky to solve the word, especially if you’re nursing a sore head after celebrating too hard on New Year’s Eve. Don’t worry though, Newsweek is here to help you solve today’s brain teaser.
Erhan Aslan, an expert in applied linguistics at the University of Reading in the U.K., gave some tips on how to improve your chances of solving the daily puzzle.
“One thing that I think is important in this game is the starting letter chosen,” Aslan told Newsweek. “Starting with letters that include commonly used vowels, for example, e and a, consonants such as r and t, and sound sequences might be helpful.”
Just be warned though, the answer is a bit further down this article, so scroll with caution.
