Trump’s Miracle Will Be America’s Salvation | Opinion
All President Trump wants to do is make America great again. For his troubles, he has been impeached, indicted, arrested, mug-shotted, railroaded, spied on, lawfared, framed, smeared, attacked, censored, fined, gag-ordered, harassed and now, shot.
Never in American history has one man been so targeted by such sinister, relentless forces of injustice. What is it about Trump that has given rise to so many evil enemies, both inside and outside of the government, who seek his destruction and even death?
Since the moment he first announced his candidacy for president in June 2015, Trump made an enemy of the ruling class by doing one thing: defending and advocating for the forgotten men and women, who had long been ignored by leaders of both parties as they enriched and empowered themselves at the peoples’ expense. That ruling class luxuriated in their deeply dirty System that rewarded the corrupt and screwed over average Americans, who saw their lives, livelihoods, and communities decimated by despicable uniparty globalism. No one cared about their economic uncertainties. No one cared about the ruination of American manufacturing, cities and towns. No one cared about the collapse of the America they profoundly loved. No one cared that they mourned its loss. No one cared about their despair. No one cared about them.
Until Trump.
The blue-collar billionaire looked them straight in the eye and delivered the most powerful message imaginable: I see you. I hear you. And I will be your champion.
Politics was new to Trump, but the American people weren’t. A kid from Queens who built an empire, he always embodied the American dream, the opportunity of which he wanted for every American.
Once president, he delivered on those promises: a booming economy, enforced border, illegal immigration under control, manufacturing brought back, fairer trade deals, law and order, troops brought home, a rebuilt military, allies carrying their weight, enemies on notice or neutralized, no new wars, and frameworks for enduring peace through strength.
Given this stellar record, to all Trump critics I paraphrase Mona Lisa Vito in “My Cousin Vinny”: “So what’s your problem?”
Their problem is that this extraordinary success poses an existential threat to the rotten ruling class. By succeeding in such spectacular ways, Trump exposed a dangerous truth: that rather than solve America’s problems, they intentionally keep them festering to expand their own power. Trump revealed them all as corrupt little liars—as he restored the power back to the people as the Founders intended.
The ruling operatives cannot have this, lest they lose their iron grip on power and profits, so they mobilized to destroy him in 2015—and they’ve never stopped. For them, a Trump White House restoration was never supposed to happen, not after everything they have thrown at him, including the Russia hoax, two fake impeachments, proven irregularities in the 2020 election, security state, law enforcement, media and Big Tech collusion in the constant stream of hoaxes and lies, and the amplification of incendiary and often violent rhetoric.
During Watergate, President Nixon’s enemies claimed that he had created an environment in which the burglary was a logical act. By that logic, the Left created an environment in which the assassination attempt was desired and expected. Whether it was President Biden routinely calling Trump a “dictator” and a “threat to democracy” while demonizing his voters or the Left’s handmaidens dehumanizing him with “Hitler” analogies while calling for him to be hurt or worse, their language made clear their intentions. They hoped someone would hear their wicked pleas and act, and someone did—making them all complicit in the unthinkable violence that killed a spectator, critically wounded two more, and almost took out a president.
These are the same people who falsely claim that Trump’s call to “peacefully and patriotically” protest on January 6 was somehow an incitement to insurrection.
As if.
The horrific deed demonstrates their abject desperation. They cannot believe that Trump is not only still standing but thriving, and likely to be the next president. The attempt on his life was designed not simply to stop him permanently but to stop the America First movement and the restoration of the country back to its foundational Judeo-Christian principles.
The shooter’s failure looks like divine intervention; perhaps the Almighty has not yet lifted His Hand from this nation.
The forces arrayed against Trump, his America First agenda, and those who support them, are dark, vile and ceaseless. They have shown that they will stop at nothing to prevent his return and the inevitable consequences to them it would bring. We must remain ever-vigilant and work for his re-election and the election of America First candidates across the country. The hour is very late. We have a short amount of time to save our country before it slips beneath the waves of tyranny for good.
Immediately after Trump was hit, he got up, fist defiantly thrust in the air, blood streaming from his ear, and impelled the crowd to “Fight! Fight! Fight!” That clarion call is history-making, a symbol of his and America’s grit, courage, determination and spirit. Elon Musk posted on X, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt”—who was shot in the chest as he gave a speech and kept going. “It takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose,” Roosevelt quipped.
In Trump, we have our own Bull Moose, a man of epic strength and bravery, who literally took a bullet for the rest of us. As he has so often said, “They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way.” Exactly so.
After the horrible events of this past weekend, Trump’s legend only grows, and with it, the light of the nation and the chances for its necessary renewal.
