Video Shows Mike Lindell’s New ‘Undercover’ Look for DNC
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has shaved off his distinctive mustache as part of an effort to disguise himself for an “undercover” mission at this year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC).
Lindell, an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump and his unproven claims of a “stolen” 2020 presidential election, showed off his new look in a short video shared on Wednesday afternoon to his account on X, formerly Twitter.
“Mike Lindell finally did it,” the post reads. “It’s been 30 years since Mike has shaved his mustache. But in order to go undercover at the DNC and deliver FrankSpeech viewers undercover footage, he finally allowed a barber to take a razor to his iconic ‘stache.”
“FrankSpeech is giving you the FIRST exclusive look at the mustache-less Mike Lindell and his DNC disguise,” it continues, while including a link to Lindell’s FrankSpeech website.
In the 1:33 video, Lindell can be seen sitting in a barber’s chair and saying “wow” in reaction to his newly clean-shaven face, before standing to put “the rest of the disguise on.” The pillow tycoon then adopts a disguise that appears to consist entirely of sunglasses and a white hat.
“We got this at a local hat place here in Chicago,” Lindell says, putting on the hat and sunglasses before asking, “How do I look?” A woman off-screen then says, “Looking good like I knew you would, baby” and moves in to kiss Lindell.
Lindell goes on to explain that he hopes to interview people inside the convention and promote his own upcoming event featuring a selection of Chicago Democrats planning to vote for Trump after previously casting ballots for President Joe Biden.
“We hope it’s all worth it, you guys,” he says. “I mean, we’ve gotta go, we’re gonna go into the DNC. We’re gonna go into there like this, we’re gonna interview, we’re gonna find people … I want to go find the media.”
Newsweek reached out for comment to Lindell via text message on Wednesday.
Videos streamed from inside the DNC later on Wednesday suggesting that Lindell’s attempt to go undercover was anything but a success, with the Trump-loving entrepreneur appearing to openly speak with attendees as himself despite wearing the disguise.
In a video streamed by liberal group MeidasTouch on YouTube and later shared to X, Lindell can be seen briefly debating election conspiracy theories with 12-year-old influencer “Knowa,” who is “the youngest invited attendee at the 2024 DNC,” according to talk radio station WTMJ.
“They just found 257,000 votes … that are missing from the 2020 election!” an animated Lindell says while pointing to Knowa.
“So your source is ‘trust me, bro?'” Knowa responds. “You haven’t given me any last names … You’re full of crap!”
Knowa later shared an image of himself with a disgusted expression while standing near Lindell with the caption, “Mike Lindell is here in disguise. Eat him up yall [face vomiting emoji].”
