‘Wordle’ #905 Answer, Clues For Monday, December 11 Puzzle
Finding today’s Wordle puzzle a challenge? Well, you’ve come to the right place. As usual, Newsweek has put together a few clues to help you find the answer.
Don’t feel bad if you’re struggling, as even inventor Josh Wardle admits to grappling with the daily brainteasers.
In an exclusive interview with Newsweek in January 2022—shortly before The New York Times purchased Wordle for a seven-figure sum—Wardle admitted to finding the word puzzle game difficult.

“[My partner] and I play it on the couch together each morning,” he said. “She will consistently get it in three goes, which is way, way better than I can ever hope to achieve. I normally need at least four or five attempts.”
The Brooklyn-based software engineer created Wordle as a gift for his partner, Palak Shah, a fan of crosswords and spelling bees.
“It’s really sweet,” Shah told The New York Times. “This is definitely how Josh shows his love.”
Although he produced the first prototype in 2013, it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that Wordle became a global sensation. Wardle uploaded the game online in October 2021, where it quickly went viral.
In November 2021, Wordle had just 90 players. By January 2022, that figure had risen to 2 million. With many places in lockdown, Wordle provided a pastime that also helped people stay connected to loved ones.
“I get emails from people who say things like ‘hey, we can’t see our parents due to COVID at the moment but we share our Wordle results each day,'” Wardle told The Guardian in January 2022. “During this weird situation it’s a way for people to connect in a low effort, low friction way.”
He believes Wordle’s popularity is because the game is simple yet challenging.
“Even though I play it every day, I still feel a sense of accomplishment when I do it,” he said. “It makes me feel smart, and people like that.”
