The automatic NCAA tournament bid from the Missouri Valley Conference is up for grabs on Sunday when the Northern Iowa Panthers (22-12) and UIC Flames (19-14) clash at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

Northern Iowa, the tournament’s No. 6 seed, pulled off its second straight upset on Saturday, knocking off second-seeded Bradley 73-69 to reach the championship game. The Panthers led by as much as 15 early in the second half before Bradley chipped away, with Leon Bond III icing the game with a free throw with seven seconds left. Bond paced Northern Iowa with 19 points while Trey Campbell finished with 13 points, six assists, and four steals.
Fifth-seeded UIC pulled away from No. 9 seed Drake in the second half on Saturday, cruising to a 72-51 victory. Rashund Washington Jr. scored 23 points for the Flames, Mekhi Lowery went for 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Elijah Crawford also dropped 12 points. Drake had knocked off top-seeded Belmont in a rout on Friday.
The teams split road wins during the regular season, with the Panthers winning 60-54 at UIC on Dec. 17 and the Flames taking a 69-61 victory in Cedar Falls on Jan. 13. Campbell averages 13.4 points for Northern Iowa, with Bond getting 11.9 points per game and Tristan Smith pulling down 5.0 rebounds a night. Crawford scores an average of 13.4 points for UIC, Ahmad Henderson II nets 12.1 points per game, and Lowery tops the squad with 5.9 boards per outing.
